Prof. Dr. Ömer Günal was born in 1966 in Düzce. Received his elementary and secondary school education in Düzce and, graduated from the Boys’ High School, Kabataş, Istanbul. Graduated from Cerrahpaşa School of Medicine in 1989, and then completed his residency in General Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Marmara University. He worked in various countries such as the USA, the UK, Scotland, France, Germany, Sweden, Belgium and Spain in the fields of general surgery, emergency surgery and medicine, liver and kidney transplantation, liver and pancreas surgery, laparoscopic surgery, intraoperative ultrasonography, obesity surgery, basic and advanced life support and microsurgery. Dr. Ömer Günal received his degree of Professor in 2008, holds the position of faculty member at the Department of General Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Marmara University, and is currently working at the General Surgery Clinic at the Ministry of Health Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital. He is actively works in the fields of: Laparoscopic Surgery, Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery, Liver and Kidney Transplantation, Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery, Laparoscopic Reflux Surgery, Laparoscopic Esophagus Surgery, Laparoscopic Stomach Surgery, Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery, Hemorrhoid, Anal Fistula ve Fissure Surgery, Mammoplasty, Oncoplastic Surgery, Thyroid-Parathyroid Surgery, Laparoscopic Adrenal Surgery. Continuing to serve his patients at the Turkish Aesthetic Clinic (TAC) as of 2022.
